People Are Disappearing

Something I pinned a few years ago..

People all around me are slowly disappearing…
Another friend disappeared just the other day…
You remember Nanny? I haven’t seen her in ages.
I wonder if aliens are taking them all?

One by one they are slowly disappearing
I fear one day I will disappear too…
I wonder if anyone else misses them…
Miss them like I do? And then miss me too…

Remember ole Mr. Joe Coffee?
I used to watch him walk around our neighborhood.
What about Father Willet, have you seen him lately?
They disappeared years ago and I haven’t seen them since…

I still look for them though.
When I go by the old neighborhood I check to see if I can find them.
They aren’t there. Where did they all go?
Surely they all haven’t moved away.

But one by one they have….
Gone, but are not forgotten.
I remember them all…
I remember them all.
