US airstrike targets notorious ISIS militant ‘Jihadi John’ | Fox News

DEVELOPING – The Pentagon said late Thursday it had launched an airstrike in Syria targeting “Jihadi John”, a British national seen in videos depicting the beheading of hostages held by ISIS.

Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook confirmed that the airstrike in Raqqa was directed at the notorious militant, also known as Mohamed Emwazi. It was not immediately clear whether Emwazi died in the airstrike, but a senior U.S. military official told Fox News, “we are 99 percent sure we got him.” The Pentagon was monitoring the aftermath of the strike before making a definitive announcement.

steven-tyler-2014-hollywood-film-awards-01 The rock band was originally slated to play shows in early 2016, but those plans have been put on the back burner by frontman Steven Tyler and his solo album plans in country music. In an interview with Billboard, Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford opens up about the band’s thoughts on Tyler’s country career.

“Steven doesn’t want to do it,” Whitford explains of the decision to scrap the 2016 Aerosmith tour. “It’s unfortunate. We kind of feel a little bit abandoned by him. I guess he seems to think his solo career is going to go great guns, and he doesn’t seem to realize that — in my opinion — his fans around the globe want to see him in the context of Aerosmith and don’t really care for whatever he thinks he’s gonna do.”

While Whitford says he and the band won’t force Tyler to tour with them, it is apparent they’re less than thrilled with the outcome.

“I don’t know if he gets that but, hey, that’s what he wants to do. I can’t put a gun to his head. It’s just pretty disappointing,” he adds.

Earlier this year, Tyler released his debut country single “Love Is Your Name.” He is currently working on his debut country album, out next year.

When will we ever learn? World War I was over almost 100 years ago and the landscape is still uninhabitable and scared with bomb craters. Farmers are still uncovering ordnance. Ordnance that contains not only explosives but poisonous gas.

According to MySanAntonio.com, Ozzy Osbourne will return to San Antonio, Texas today (Thursday, November 5) to apologize for urinating on the Alamo Cenotaph in 1982. The singer will reportedly visit the monument with his son Jack and a film crew and will tape the whole thing for their new show for the History channel which has been described by Ozzy as “a father-and-son spoof on history.”

“We did get a call,” District 1 Councilman Roberto Treviño said. “Certainly, as a city, we feel very, very good about his efforts to come to our great city and apologize for the actions of a not-so-sober person.”
