One typical roadie job—sound engineering technician—pays $57,000 a year, on average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. (The figure doesn’t take into account the legion of roadies who are self-employed.) Surveys by the Berklee College of Music say a “front of house” live-sound engineer—the person who controls what concertgoers hear—earns at least $60,000 a year, and can top $120,000. Road managers can earn $125,000 or more. Tour coordinators? $175,000.
MANAFEST UNLEASHES NEW VIDEO “DIAMONDS”
March 31st, 2015 – Four time Juno Award nominee, Musician, songwriter, & Author Manafest has released his latest video for the single “Diamonds” today on his official website www.manafest.com. “Diamonds”, was co-written with Thousand Foot Krutch’s frontman Trevor McNevan and tackles the timely issue of addiction.
“When we were working on the beat, I couldn’t stop thinking about someone struggling with addiction and turning to drugs,” states Manafest. “I remember reading Brian ‘Head’ Welch’s book, Save Me From Myself, and how he took a picture of what he didn’t want to have power over him. After giving up drugs, he found some while cleaning his house. Before he flushed them down the toilet, he took a picture of them, a reminder of ‘Hey, you don’t have power over me.’ That imagery was on my mind as I was writing ‘Diamonds.’”
Manafest is currently promoting his latest effort “The Moment” which was released on August 5th 2014.

Holy Old Batman and big Robin!
I wish my childhood hero’s would stay the same as I remember them:( Adam West is really old but glad he is alive. My cousin Randy met him at a Mall opening in Florida in 1976. He was kind enough to get me a signed 8×10 photograph. I wish I still had that. Burt Ward is really obese now. Farrah Fawcett is nothing more than ashes 🙁 Holly Marshall grew up. Superman is dead. (both of them). The list goes on and on. Sad, sad, sad.
But Adam and Burt are supposed to be apart of a new Batman and Robin animated series movie so that’s cool!

Roadies, I mean “Concert Technicians” make good money!
With the Record industry in the toilet due to digital downloading. It seems no one is making any money this days with recorded music. So how are bands surviving? By touring relentlessly. According to “The Wall Street Journal”, the big money makers are the Roadies. Now known as “Concert Technicians”. It’s no longer sex and drugs for back stage passes to meet the band. We got a whole new crop of professional and somewhat computer geeks running the shows behind the scenes. Even Guitar techs can make a lot of bank with a touring act!
