Def Leppard’s Vivian Campbell on having cancer , He would rather…
From: Blabbermouth
“Die On My Feet Than Die On My Knees’
“It’s ironic that the most stressful part in all of this has not been dealing with the actual cancer or the treatment, but rather the struggle that I’ve had to endure with my bandmates and management in trying to convince them that this is not only logistically doable for me, but that it’s a big, big part of my recovery. The stress that this has caused me has been immense. Perhaps it’s something that only other cancer patients can comprehend; while everyone else wrongfully assumes it’s ‘best for you to stay in bed and recover,’ the truth is that continuing to live your life the way you want to is the best therapy. Doing so raises a big middle finger, f*ck you to cancer.

“Iron Maiden’s” Bruce Dickinson treated for Cancer
Cancer is such a horrible disease. I have no idea why it can’t be eradicated off the face of the earth…According to the news report Bruce has a tumor found on the back of his tongue… He just finished up 7 weeks of Chemo and is expected to make a full recovery. Here is the complete story from Iron Maiden’s Facebook page.
BRUCE DICKINSON UNDERGOES CANCER TREATMENT
Just before Christmas, Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson visited his doctor for a routine check-up. This led to tests and biopsies which revealed a small cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue. A seven week course of chemotherapy and radiology treatment was completed yesterday. As the tumor was caught in the early stages, the prognosis thankfully is extremely good. Bruce’s medical team fully expect him to make a complete recovery with the all clear envisaged by late May. It will then take a further few months for Bruce to get back to full fitness. In the meantime we would ask for your patience, understanding and respect for Bruce and his family’s privacy until we update everyone by the end of May. Bruce is doing very well considering the circumstances and the whole team are very positive.

A special message from Carman
Dear Friends and Partners,
Right now I am facing the biggest challenge of my life. On Valentines day I was diagnosed with incurable Multiple Myeloma Cancer and given a 3-5 year window of time. In order to put this into remission and be ready for my Spring 2014 tour I must go into chemotherapy right away. I will be under 24/7 medical care for the next 9 months straight.
I’m determined to beat this and see you in concert. In 1976 I went to a Christian concert and heard the gospel set to music and received Christ. Since that time I’ve lead over 1 million people to Christ. Touring is expensive and necessary to bring the gospel where it’s needed the most. I believe there are other Carman’s out there waiting to find Jesus and use their talents for the lord. Maybe its your child, your friend, or maybe even you. With a successful fundraiser we will be coming and lives will be changed for sure.
Over the past 13 years, I recorded many “unreleased” songs. I’m now making those available alongside classic favorites. Plus all the Music and DVD’s will be available for download the moment you purchase them NO WAITING 4-6 WEEKS FOR THE MAIL ANYMORE.
You will have this music and these videos tonight to enjoy. Check out the giving levels below and the samples of the songs too. This will be a tour that will change lives just like this whole experience is changing mine. I’m passing on the blessing.
And in the meantime For 9 months from September to April I’ll be off the road in the fight of my life battling cancer. I’ve pre-recorded weekly video updates on the new CD but will be posting written updates as I’m able. Join me in this 9 month countdown to beat this dreaded disease with daily inspirational words from songs I have written posted on Facebook.
I’ve never needed your support more than I do now. Join the campaign as I’m believing God that at the end of this impossible journey I will stand on 100 stages starting this April and once again be “LIVE Across America!”

It’s Carman day today here at Kickacts
Since I no longer really float around in this part of my world anymore I missed his announcement a few months ago that he has incurable cancer and only has a few short years left to live:-( So what is he doing about it? Going out in a big way. Taking the Gospel to as many as he can. Many props and prayers for him. He stood out among many of the, and I hate to say it, lame Christian artists that are out there or where out there back in the late 80’s/early 90’s. He broke the mold and was as top notch as any secular act. Just maybe with a more important message. Crafty and Witty and about twenty years ahead of his time for Christendom he pushed the limits that needed to be pushed in his message and how it was presented. He basically was the head in Entertainment and not the tail.
I still think he hid has “preference” like several others in the christian world and I don’t see what the big deal is anyway if he did. But that’s between him and God. You can’t deny how much good he has done and people’s lives that have been changed and continues to change.
From his facebook page:
“I used to go to movies in the afternoon, now I go see doctors,” he said.
The singer listed three reasons for his post: “First, I want to put an end to all the rumors. Second, I ask for your prayers. And 3rd, I want you all to know that I will continue to minister and win souls until I can’t do it any longer.
“My life has always been about ministry,” he explained. “I have a call of God to touch lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ and that’s what I will do until the Lord calls me home.”
He asked his Facebook followers not to fill his page with cancer treatment remedies, but encouraged them to come see him the next time he’s in their area.
“Bring someone who doesn’t know the Lord or who needs to be healed,” he wrote. “I will always pray for the sick and I’m also going to step up the intensity of my message at these events. I will not leave this world quietly and I want the devil to know that he put cancer on absolutely the wrong Italian.
“I have a few good years and before it’s too late I want to see your faces, shake your hands and hug your necks. But mostly I want to see one of you get healed of what threatens your future and I really want to see someone you love come to Christ. Now lets get back to business, we have to work while it’s day for soon the night comes,”
Anyway..
Enjoy the Videos and remember Carman in your prayers and all the others that need it.
John 3:16

“Positive Thinking, Love and Laughter”
Otto is a comedian from the Indianapolis area but he also has cancer. This is his pre show cancer talk. Listen and learn. The guy is the real deal and in a world where no one hardly questions anyone anymore about their personal health care Otto did. It seems to be working for him. Instead of being near death, he is near life and loving it. He is sharing what he has learned and is doing in his fight against cancer. Please re post this and also read his blog.
thanks,chuck

Just a head’s up encase you have tender ears…Being a comedian that Otto is, there are a couple of cuss words in the video but don’t let that stop you from watching it.
Please lift up the Shepherd’s family. Brian & Wendy and their little girls.
Please consider re posting…
My dear friend Brian Shepherd and his wife Wendy and family need prayer. Wendy is currently under Hospice care in Henderson. She has been battling cancer for a while now and the chemo treatments aren’t working. The cancer is in her bones, liver and lungs, so Wendy has decided enough is enough…:(
Please lift them up. Wendy is in a great deal of pain and they could use a miracle…
thank you
sincerely,
Chuck & Denise

bacon toast with sugar
“generally speaking” ,, MANY / most – stage 4 cancer patients, die within 18 months,, with “treatment” or without.. that is a statistical fact.. and with “treatment” , many of those 18 months are not the best “quality of life” ..
i’m 5 months after diagnosis,, i feel really good, my body is intact, i’m not suffering from my cancer battle physically ,, mentally – yes, but i’ve got a good handle on that now..
i’m doing the Gerson Therapy,, 70 years of proven success .
with food & vitamins, if it takes up to 2 years to become “cancer free” , and i get to feel like this the whole time- ,, well,,, winner winner – chicken dinner ,,, that’s 24 months of feeling great, compared to a hopeful 18 months , with the bad side effects starting immediately , when traditional treatment starts,,
to me , i still think i am WAY ahead , and i’m quite happy about it
i feel good , and i’m HAPPY about my treatment,, not bad for a cancer patient…………
two thumbs up , hell yeaaah !! fantastico , wunderbar,, top shelf, that’s how i feel about this whole deal now,, i’m strong , confident, and ready to take on anything..
my passion for life “meter” is pegged .. i want to live long time, smiling, joking, and playing music…
not too much can get me down now,,, cancer – schmantzer .. what else you got ,,, traffic troubles?, line too long at the grocery?, cell phone dropped in the toilet?, guitar string breaks? dog chewed up your schedule book? ,,
“it’s all in yo head” – that madness,
if anyone asks———— i’m feeling great ,, pass it on
