Vince….What happened? (Justin Moore video shoot)
My god Vince what the hell happened??? The country version of “Home Sweet Home” is ok and I get it. Most country stars can’t or don’t write their own music so they have writers or take classic rock songs and redneck them down… But back to Vince…Are you on steroids????
You went from this at 20 years old
To this at 53…skip to the 3:06 minute mark…

Nikki Sixx finally speaks some truth…
When asked if there would be a final Motley Crue album to go along with the final tour he had this to say about America and formatted radio…and as my friend Matt Camp says “Blame the Radio” 🙂
chuck
“We’ve written some songs. But this is difficult to say and probably harder to hear: when you spend nine months working on an album, all the work that goes into it and recording it, mixing it, mastering it, then you release it and it falls on deaf ears. Radio is so fuckin’ formatted, if you don’t have a banjo and a beard they’re not playing you over here. If you’re this kind of band at this stage of your career you can’t be played on Active Rock; if you’ve been around for more than fifteen years you’re classic rock, but classic rock radio doesn’t play new music. You just think, “Fuck, man, this sucks.”

Dan McCafferty retires from Nazareth
It’s official. They aren’t saying if Nazareth is over yet. Dan has COPD. Unfortunately, another causality from smoking. It’s his right to do it but it has now caught up with him. I wish him well. Nazareth has an awesome catalog of music!
Here is the link:
http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/nazareth-dan-mccafferty-retires-over-health-issues/
“I’ve got Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and it’s been getting worse over the years. You don’t know when it’s going to come on, but suddenly you can’t breathe.
“I was going on stage at Summerfest in Switzerland thinking, ‘This is great – our first festival in a few months and it’s a lovely day.’ We couldn’t have asked for better.”
Three songs in he suffered an attack of COPD, leaving him out of breath and unable to continue. He decided at that moment to retire with immediate effect.
“When I came off stage I said to the boys: ‘I can’t keep doing this to the band.’ I can’t embarrass the boys and the fans. If you can’t do the job you shouldn’t be there – Nazareth’s too big for that.”
McCafferty’s decision came after he’d taken a break following his collapse in Canada, which was caused by a burst stomach ulcer. “I thought I’d be fine,” he says, “But you lose so much blood when that happens.”
He admits he and his bandmates are “a wee bit emotional” and haven’t come to terms with the news, but he says: “The music we’ve made over the years is more important than any member of the band. We always felt like that, and I can’t see that’s changed just because I’ve left.
“I really hope they get someone else. I’m sure they can.”

Nazareth’s Dan McCafferty suffers stroke
If you don’t have at least Nazareth’s “Hair of the Dog” album in your iPod or vinyl collection, you need to see an old priest and a new priest right now. You should have “No Mean City” too and “It’s Naz”. Classic guitar rock at its best.
I saw Nazareth with Thin Lizzy opening for them at the Evansville Coliseum back in 1980? They are a great band. Tons and tons of great songs.
Back to the topic. Apparently Dan recently suffered some health issues and now has had a stroke. He is currently in a Hospital. Prayers are appreciated. No word on his condition.
While you are thinking of him, enjoy some of the videos of Nazareth…

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA
I gotta say up front. I have missed this type of music for a long time. This is a brand new band with a rock classic sound. I hear Toto, Asia, Saga, and The Darkness all rolled up into one. This is a great sound! Check them out!

Mean Streak’s “Shine On”
You really can’t beat a nice Ass and a classic rock sound! Also dig that the guitar player isn’t sweeping his way across the neck. Hopefully things are returning to a more tasteful time in music and not so much as “I can play ten million notes a second” and my singer sounds just like “Cookie Monster”… Check out this cool song and hot video from “Mean Streak”.
