Yahoo News posts that Van Halen is embarking on a huge tour this year and they use Sammy Hagar’s photograph on the article! Sammy hasn’t been in the band for 15 years! Oh man..now I am hurting… This guy went from having killer hair in the 70’s..typically rock 70’s look. Obviously when we get older, the hair may thin or pack it’s bags and get on the next train out of town. But Diamond Dave’s got the money to fund it and fix it! But during the last tour he looked pretty killer with the short style he was wearing. He just performed “Panama” last night with an all star band. He was sporting a Brian Johnson type British hat and half way through the show he pulls off his hat and shows off the dome.:(. damn, getting old sucks…Too bad all of our hero’s can’t stay the way we knew them. Now he looks like an old man. An old man that drives a cab..:( Freddie Mercury dead. Farrah Fawcett dead. Randy Rhoads dead. Shirley temple dead. The list goes on and on.
I would say enjoy the video, but this really hurts…

David Lee Roth. Always entertaining! Loved his videos. More eye candy then Playboy or Hustler at the time and damn good music too!Here’s to 80’s…If I only had Stewie’s time machine. Clearly Dave’s technique was influenced by Vaudeville, burlesque and the great dancers from the 50’s. I mean who else but Dave could take a warm sunny surf song from the Beach Boys and turn it into every 15 year old males (and some females) wet dream? Dave did ask the all important question though about a couple of the hot chicks in his videos. He wondered what do 2 former hotties that are now fifty plus year old lesbians do for fun these days. Do they feed Feral cats? LMAO..Enjoy the videos!

Styx “Music Time” Worst video or Genius?

Not sure how to take it. On one side, its funny and other the other side, it reminds me of a David Lee Roth video. His videos in this manner work…but does the Styx one work? Dennis De Young seems to be playing the role of Lou Costello?
notice Tommy Shaw is only in one scene. I guess by the time this came out the band was done. But enjoy the 80’s “HUGE” humor 😉

David Lee Roth discusses Grunge, Gay, and Van Halen

Roth blamed the grunge scene for turning fans off of his live show, saying, “Two words: Kurt Cobain. I went from playing to 12,000 people to 1,200. From arenas to casinos and state fairs and the local House Of Blues. That will cause you to reflect a lot more clearly on your values. Fun wasn’t seen as fun anymore.”
Roth shed some light on his romantic life after laughing off rumors that he’s been involved in a long-term gay relationship for years. “I’ve lived alone my whole adult life,” he said. “I’ve had girlfriends, I’ve had love affairs. Never longer than a year and a half. I’m the drunk who won the lottery, I’m going to be very difficult to convince of a lot of traditional things. I put off getting married when I found out, oh, you don’t really have to. I just saw somebody discussing this recently, I think Gloria Steinem — same thing as her life story. There’s a lot of us out there.”

David Lee Roth wants Michael back!

David Lee Roth recently sat down with Rolling Stone magazine about the lack of communication coming from the Van Halen camp and his opinion of one of the greatest tenor voices in Rock and Roll Michael Anthony!
“What we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever — that was in Michael Anthony,” Roth explains. “In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys… so I would always look forward to that reunion.”
Nothing against Wolfie playing bass. He did a great job but putting this rock and roll machine back together with all its original running parts would be earth shatterin’!
