Nikki Sixx finally speaks some truth…
When asked if there would be a final Motley Crue album to go along with the final tour he had this to say about America and formatted radio…and as my friend Matt Camp says “Blame the Radio” 🙂

“We’ve written some songs. But this is difficult to say and probably harder to hear: when you spend nine months working on an album, all the work that goes into it and recording it, mixing it, mastering it, then you release it and it falls on deaf ears. Radio is so fuckin’ formatted, if you don’t have a banjo and a beard they’re not playing you over here. If you’re this kind of band at this stage of your career you can’t be played on Active Rock; if you’ve been around for more than fifteen years you’re classic rock, but classic rock radio doesn’t play new music. You just think, “Fuck, man, this sucks.”

John Corabi has said it best for everyone in the record industry….
“I sing my songs and play my guitar and drink my tequila and I’m the town jester just trying to show everyone a good time. I was not aware that there was an age limit on that. The artists I grew up with — Paul McCartney, THE WHO and a shitload of other bands — didn’t get that memo to retire either”
John

Have you noticed that really only classic rock bands are filling the arenas still? KISS, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden etc… Other than select Country artists and bubble gum Shawn Cassidy type boy singers like Beiber, Classic rock is still out selling new rock bands and filling those seats. So before you excuse your self because the guys in the band are over 40, you need to re school yourself.
You are never to old to ROCK!
