MANAFEST UNLEASHES NEW VIDEO “DIAMONDS”

11081149_10152709471497344_6586309412977352118_n

March 31st, 2015 – Four time Juno Award nominee, Musician, songwriter, & Author Manafest has released his latest video for the single “Diamonds” today on his official website www.manafest.com. “Diamonds”, was co-written with Thousand Foot Krutch’s frontman Trevor McNevan and tackles the timely issue of addiction.

“When we were working on the beat, I couldn’t stop thinking about someone struggling with addiction and turning to drugs,” states Manafest. “I remember reading Brian ‘Head’ Welch’s book, Save Me From Myself, and how he took a picture of what he didn’t want to have power over him. After giving up drugs, he found some while cleaning his house. Before he flushed them down the toilet, he took a picture of them, a reminder of ‘Hey, you don’t have power over me.’ That imagery was on my mind as I was writing ‘Diamonds.’”

Manafest is currently promoting his latest effort “The Moment” which was released on August 5th 2014.

Holy Old Batman and big Robin!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

batgirl_13I wish my childhood hero’s would stay the same as I remember them:( Adam West is really old but glad he is alive. My cousin Randy met him at a Mall opening in Florida in 1976. He was kind enough to get me a signed 8×10 photograph. I wish I still had that. Burt Ward is really obese now. Farrah Fawcett is nothing more than ashes 🙁 Holly Marshall grew up. Superman is dead. (both of them). The list goes on and on. Sad, sad, sad.

But Adam and Burt are supposed to be apart of a new Batman and Robin animated series movie so that’s cool!

Check out their newest release “Open Fire” below! The albums drops June 1st! Click flyer for more info! And for a bonus…You gotta have love for a band that replies to posts on their Facebook page. Go check out some of the comments! They can take a punch and give it right back!

He reenacts every movie he has been in! And he does it in 6 minutes! I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard! Enjoy!

The day the Music died for our Generation of Metal

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

I remember it like it was yesterday… He was our generation’s Jimi Hendrix. A little guy with monster guitar skills. He is still influencing guitarists all over the world 33 years later…R.I.P. Randy

KISS unplugged 2015. Ouch. Gene calls out Paul

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

on his vocals..

image_galleryThe band KISS has been a life long “hero” band of mine. Well since my little brother somehow talked our Grandmother into buying KISS ALIVE I way back in the day. I remember clearly her asking David if this was the band that sang about “nasty” stuff. He said it wasn’t so that album went into the shopping cart instead of back to the album rack. Then a few months later we saw KISS in concert in 1978 and everything changed! We were totally hooked! Grabbing everything up from magazines to giant wall posters. KISS could do no wrong! I even rushed home from passing out Western Auto flyers at BigK to watch the debut of “KISS Meets the Phathom of the Park”! Quite possibly one of the campiest movies of the 70’s but I loved it.

We know time changes everything. People get old. I, like little Jackie Paper, grew up too. But I still like KISS and have seen them several times thru out the years. But recently Paul’s vocals have deteriorated to the point that he needs to either take a long break, or retire. Let us remember KISS as they were. The “Kings’ of the Night Time World”. Not as they are now. It’s sad… It’s sad that my Hero’s grew old too.

Here is a recent unplugged set. See for your self 🙁
